About CUDI
Central Urban Development, Inc. is a not-for profit community
development corporation formed in 2001 and affiliated with the Northeast
Church of Christ. The company's primary focus is addressing commercial
and residential needs for northeast Oklahoma City. In 2004 the company
launched its initial residential project, the construction of thirty new
quality homes in the John F. Kennedy
subdivision. This project is planned for a three-year time frame.
This $3 million housing effort is fully supported by private, city and
many support organizations whose mission is to see a total revitalization
of this quadrant.
During the last half of 2004, additional plans will get underway to commence
with development of 86 acres of land owned by the corporation along the
I-35 corridor. The initial effort will center on another quality, affordable
housing subdivision along Bryant Avenue and plans for construction of
a multi-story retirement center on the campus of Central Urban Development.
